Page Rank: 2

About the Site

theMigraineRelief.com is an established clickbank migraine relief ebook sales site. So far, the site has made $979.39 (net) in just over four months according to the auction listing.

What I like about this site

There are actually many things to like about this site. First and foremost, the site is established and has revenue.

Personally, having bought a clickbank affiliate website before (last January I bought a Double or Nothing Strategy Guide website), I would be comfortable owning a site like this.

Next, the sales page has a unique professional design, which is claimed to cost over $750. I have to say, the site looks excellent and much less spammy than some other sales pages.

The sales copy is also professionally written which apparently cost over $300. I just skimmed it, but it seemed pretty good to me.

The site has a pretty amazing affiliate section with all sorts of great stuff including:

  • banner images
  • website themes
  • blog themes
  • suggested ppc ads
  • keyword lists
  • affiliate domain suggestions
  • forum promotion suggestions
  • affiliate link cloakers
  • blog posts and articles
  • pre-written product reviews
  • promotional videos
  • and a bunch of other stuff.

The website also has an affiliate newsletter opt-in with over 260 subscribers.

The seller has posted Flippa verified traffic stats as well as screen shots of clickbank revenue and aWeber subscribers. I see no reason not to trust the claims made in the auction listing. Since the website is new, there should be some opportunities to improve SEO and landing page optimization.

Refunds are low – just 5%.

The number of affiliates promoting the product, and the revenues should improve over time, although there are no guarantees, to be sure.

What I don’t like about this site

The minimum bid is fairly high at $4000 with a BIN of $5000. If we assume net profit of $300 per month, that’s a payback period of between 13 and 17 months.

My thoughts

If I had $4000-5000 available for another investment, I would seriously consider putting down a bid on this site.

What do you think? Is the seller asking too much? What is the most you would pay for this site?

Does the site make sense from the business perspective? The design looks top quality, the copy seems professional and the numbers seem to add up. From the refund rates, it appears that customers seem to like the product as well. $4K seems high considering the business model and what those sites typically reach at auction, and considering the fairly short history.

But, personally, no, I wouldn’t buy the site. Sometimes it’s not just about business or the figures adding up. I’d want to check those testimonials to make sure they’re genuine and not fictitious. I’d feel queasy telling customers they are get this $29 and that $99 ebook as a bonus if those were available free elsewhere. There’s just something about long sales letters…

In this site’s defence it doesn’t use tricks like a javascript to insert an offer end date to panic visitors into a quick buy.
